About this project

The founders of an app for selling vintage clothes wanted me to come up with 2 or 3 key features and design the UI for their mobile devices that would work with their branding and digital UI.

The problem

The problem at hand revolved around the need to strike a balance between the nostalgic appeal of vintage fashion and the contemporary usability expected by a modern audience. Crafting an interface that merges these seemingly disparate elements while satisfying both brand identity and UI standards posed a unique challenge.

My Project Takeaways

I loved working on this project. One of my favourite part was creating the concept board because I love playing with colors, textures, typography, imagery, quotes and wording. Sometimes it's even beneficial to create a couple of mood boards that highlight different elements of the project so that you can create a holistic, visual landscape before we start designing.

Some of the general lessons are that everything takes a little longer to complete or design than you think it will. Consistency is important and sometimes less is more when it comes to design. Time management is also a key to success. I would definitely like to work more on my icons. I think an icon plays an important role in any project.
